그레이스 림은 미연방 FAA 항공 파일럿 라이선스를 보유한 작가로, 하늘 위 혹은 먼 시점에서 바라본 풍경을 연상시키는 회화와 설치 작업을 선보인다. 캔버스, 나무, 종이 등 다양한 혼합 재료를 활용해 공간과 시점, 존재의 거리감을 탐구하며, 간결하면서도 지적인 화면 구성으로 독자적인 작품 세계를 구축해왔다. 샌프란시스코 아트 인스티튜트에서 회화를 공부하고 뉴욕대학교(NYU) 대학원을 졸업한 작가는 뉴욕과 샌프란시스코를 중심으로 국제적인 활동을 이어왔다. 예술과 다양한 분야의 경험이 결합된 시각은 그의 작업에 구조적 감각과 개념적 깊이를 더한다. 그레이스 림은 2011년부터 2025년까지 핑크갤러리에서 지속적으로 전시를 개최하며 갤러리와의 깊은 신뢰 관계를 이어오고 있다. 이외에도 KIAF, 화랑미술제, Art Miami 등 주요 아트페어에 참여하며 국제 무대에서 활발히 활동해왔으며, 2001년 베니스 비엔날레, 2004년 폴란드 우치 비엔날레, 2009년 인천여성미술비엔날레 등 국제 비엔날레에 참여하였다. 작가는 2003년 버몬트 스튜디오 센터, 2005년 이탈리아 베니스 에밀리 하비 스튜디오 프로그램 등 주요 레지던시에 참여하며 예술적 성장을 이어왔다. 그의 작품은 프란시스 그린버그 컬렉션, 폴란드 인터내셔널 아티스트 뮤지엄, 아트 오미 컬렉션을 비롯한 국내외 공공기관과 개인 컬렉션에 소장되어 있으며, 서울대학교병원 유방센터와 샌프란시스코 한국영사관 등에도 소장되어 있다.

Grace Rim is a visual artist and a licensed U.S. FAA pilot, whose paintings and installations evoke landscapes seen from above or from a distant vantage point. Working with mixed media such as canvas, wood, and paper, she explores space, perspective, and the sense of distance inherent in human existence. Through restrained yet intellectually refined compositions, she has developed a distinctive visual language.

She studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute and completed her graduate studies at New York University (NYU). Based primarily in New York and San Francisco, Rim has maintained an active international practice. Her work is enriched by perspectives formed through experiences across diverse fields, lending it a strong structural sensibility and conceptual depth.

From 2011 to 2025, Grace Rim has held continuous exhibitions with Pink Gallery, sustaining a long-standing relationship built on mutual trust. She has also participated in major art fairs including KIAF, Hwarang Art Fair, and Art Miami, and has taken part in international biennials such as the Venice Biennale (2001), the Łódź Biennale in Poland (2004), and the Incheon Women Artists’ Biennale (2009).

Rim has attended prominent artist residencies including the Vermont Studio Center (2003) and the Emily Harvey Foundation Residency in Venice, Italy (2005). Her works are held in numerous public and private collections worldwide, including the Francis Greenburger Collection, the International Artists Museum of Poland, and the Art Omi Collection, as well as institutions such as Seoul National University Hospital Breast Care Center and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco.
