“내 안의 블루 The Blue Within Me”

핑크갤러리는 오는 10월 18일부터 31일까지, 구원선 작가의 개인전 “내 안의 블루 (The Blue Within Me)”를 개최한다. 이번 전시는 작가가 수년간 탐구해온 색과 감정의 내면 풍경을 선명한 색면과 질감으로 표현한 회화 신작 시리즈로, ‘푸른색’을 통해 인간 내면의 고요함, 회복, 그리고 생명의 리듬을 탐색한다.

작가는 바다의 깊이와 하늘의 무한함, 그리고 마음속의 청명한 순간을 ‘블루’라는 하나의 주제로 집약한다. 화면 위에 쌓인 다층적인 재질감과 단순화된 식물, 구름, 해의 형태는 구원선 작가만의 명확한 조형 언어로 완성된다. 그의 작품 속 블루는 슬픔이 아니라 “존재의 평화”, 그리고 “삶을 감싸는 따뜻한 빛”으로 변주된다. “내게 푸른색은 단순히 색이 아니다. 그것은 나를 둘러싼 세상의 소리, 내 마음의 진동, 그리고 삶의 숨결이다. 나는 이 블루 안에서 고요히 숨 쉬며, 때로는 치유되고, 다시 피어나는 나를 본다.” – 구원선 작가

구원선은 회화와 설치를 중심으로 ‘색과 내면의 관계’를 탐구하고 있다.그녀의 작업은 반복되는 선과 질감, 그리고 순수한 색의 조합을 통해 **‘감정의 정원’**을 그려내며,인간 내면의 평화와 생명력에 대한 사색을 담아낸다. 최근에는 일상의 감정, 기억, 자연의 조화를 주제로 회화의 확장 가능성을 모색하고 있다.

Pink Gallery is pleased to present “The Blue Within Me,” a solo exhibition by Wonsun Koo, on view from October 18 to 31, 2025.

This exhibition features a new series of paintings that visualize the artist’s long-standing exploration of color and emotion through vivid chromatic surfaces and layered textures. Through the language of blue, Koo delves into the tranquility, restoration, and rhythm of life that dwell within the human spirit. Koo distills the depth of the sea, the infinity of the sky, and the clarity of the mind into the singular theme of “blue.” Her multi-layered textures and simplified motifs—plants, clouds, and the sun—manifest a distinctive visual language that defines her work. In her paintings, blue is not a color of sorrow but rather a symbol of “existential peace” and “the gentle light that embraces life.”

Wonsun Koo explores the relationship between color and the inner self through painting and installation. Her works, composed of repetitive lines, tactile surfaces, and pure hues, create a “garden of emotions,” offering reflections on peace and vitality within human existence. Recently, she has been expanding her practice to include themes of everyday emotion, memory, and the harmony of nature.
