핑크갤러리에서는 경기창작센터 5명의 작가를 초대하여 져버려진 곳의 품안에서 초대 기획전을 1월 27일 오프닝 (5-7pm)하여 2월 12일까지 두주간 전시합니다. Richard Humann 리차드 휴만 (1961)은 소F이아's 서울 이라는 개념적 조각작품으로 길고 커다란 까만 상자위에 Google에서잘못된 번역 소F이아's 서울 글귀 위에 한글과 영문으로 되어있는 편지를 잘게 칼로 잘라 F (잘못된 한글 해석) 영문위엔 한글로 되어있는 부서진듯하면서도 완벽하게 규일적으로 아주 조그맣게 잘려진 편지를 소, 이, 아, 서울 한글위에는 영문의 편지를 같은 방법으로 작게 잘라 글 위를 덮어 하얀 글을 만들었습니다. 그는 부르클린에 사는 미국작가로 2003년에는 베니스 비엔날렌에 참가한 바 있으며 미국에 DIA Art Foundation등 세계 여러 뮤지엄등에서 전시해 왔습니다. 또한 그의 작품은 노키아 콜렉션, 핀란드의 캐미뮤지엄, 미국 캘리포니아 소노마 컨템포로리 뮤지엄 등 세계 여러 뮤지움에 소장되어 있습니다.  Rizwan Mirza 리즈완 미라즈은 파키스탄 태생의 런던에 사는 사진작가로 텍사스 휴스톤의 뮤지엄 (The Museum of Fine Art), 워세스터 뮤지엄, 런던 네쇼널 포엣트리, 트럼프 Foundation 등 세계 여러 곳에 그의 작품이 소장되어 있는 작가 입니다. Genevieve Chua 제네비브 추아는 싱가포르 작가로 최근에 싱가포르 비엔날레 (2011) 에 초대되어 전시 하였고 드로잉과 사진으로 이루어진 The Cascade #1-#20 (from the series 'Birthing Ground, Not a Sound') 작품 (28 x 21.5cm (10 each개) 19cm x 28.5cm each (10 each개)을 전시합니다.  Lau Hok Shing, Hanison 하니썬 라우혹싱은 홍콩작가로 Tranquility 고요함 (2011, grape branches, oyster shells, disposable chopsticks, shredded green sponges) 이라는 작품으로 조그만 나뭇가지에 겹겹의 예쁜 굴껍데기가 붙어있는 재미있는 조각 작품을 보입니다. Mustapha Akrim무스타파 아크림 (1980)은 북아프리카 모로코작가로 시멘트로 만든 조각작품을 전시합니다.

Pink Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of In the Arms of the Void on view Jan. 27 through Feb. 12,  2012, with an opening reception Fri, Jan. 27th from 5 to 7pm. The exhibition features 5 artists who are right now at the GCC (Gyeonggi Creation Center) in South, Korea: Mustapha, Genevieve Chua, Richard Humann, Rizwan Mirza, and Lau Hok Shing, Hanison.

Richard Humann (b. 1961) lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in the United States. He shows Sofia's Seoul, (2012 , 14' x 96" x 24", It is ink on paper, mounted on wood). It is a conceptual sculptural installation using thousands of cut-up paper letters to spell out an online translation from English to Korean using Hangul characters. His Major exhibitions include the 2003 Venice Bienalle (The Snow Show: Venice), the DIA Art Foundation, New York, NY (1988,Three Doors); Tampere Art Museum, Tampere, Finland (2004, Delicate Monster); Kemi Art Museum, Kemi, Finland (2003, Where Troubles Melt Like Lemon Drops); Museum of Contemporary Art, Sonoma, CA & etc. His Selected Collections are at The Nokia Collection, Kemi Art Museum, Tampere Art Museum, Sara Hildén Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, The Moen Collection, The Sackner Collection, Museo Cristóbal Gabarrón & etc. Rizwan Mirza is from Pakistani decent. He lives and works in London England. He is showing conceptual photographic pieces. His works are included in the collection of The Museum of Fine Art, Houston, Texas; The Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, Mass; The National Portrait Gallery, London; The Trump Foundation, New York. Genevieve Chua, (b. 1984) lives in Singapore, works primarily with drawing, photography and installation. Her current research addresses the fear of the unknown. This process involves the appropriation of Southeast Asian horror towards new narratives. Lately she participated for Singapore Biennale (2011). She is showing photographic work The Cascade #1-#20 (from the series 'Birthing Ground, Not a Sound')  28 x 21.5cm each (10 pieces) 19cm x 28.5cm each (10 pieces). The mediums are Graphic Gum Arabicn and Pigment ink on Archival Paper, 2012. Lau Hok Shing, Hanison shows Tranquility (2011, grape branches, oyster shells, disposable chopsticks, shredded green sponges) It is a sculpture work which is oyster shells mounted on twigs. Mustapha Akrim (b. 1980) is from Rabat, Morocco and he is showing a sculpture work which is made from cement.
